ugh...stick on kits are trash
Try these guys, not real brushed metal...but they wrap your stock pieces entirely so they don't look cheap

has anyone ever removed the bezel over the radio ?
I have a guy that I could send it to (or perhaps the entire radio)
and he could make a billet duplicate panel.
can the panel be removed from the radio ?

They have always been nice when I talked to them. If Robyn is still there she is who I dealt with normally.
The carbon fiber kits are an overlay. All their stuff, wood, carbon, stone..whatever is a thin clear coated overlay that contours to the curves. There are some actual carbon fiber kits out there, but I'm not a big fan of the way they look when light hits it.
Its not cheap though, these kits can run you from about 400 - 750 or so if you want a lot of pieces. I think I spent about 600 or 650 for all mine.

The Dash Kit kits are just paint over plastic. There is not one scrap of carbon or fiber in their "carbon fiber" kits, yet they cost as much or more than real carbon fiber.
The 5-piece DG Motorsports in genuine carbon fiber is "only" $300.

The downside to the kit above is that the vents stay black...they dont cover the plastic air vents ... which keeps it from looking stock IMO. Not to mention the pieces for the door switches are just cut out instead of wrapped. Everyone likes something different, but I wouldnt trade mine for anything else I have seen.

I have the aluminum stick on type and love it. I worked with the original designer and helped him bang out the bugs. Be careful when ordering the door switch covers as they are different in the later years. Also, The Headlamp switch cover comes in many configs...I had to modify after 4 attempts to get it right.

I talked to DG about a kit for my truck but you'll notice that the dash piece has the 'cutout' for the pedal adjustment switch that is found on Expy's and the driver's side door piece actually has a cutout for four window switches...it too is for an Expy. DG said they might be able to modify the kit to fit a Lightning but they weren't willing to do it for just one. Hence I still have my painted plastic kit in the truck...
