NEED HELP! ATTN GURU's. Regular f150 shorty headers vs. Lightning shorty headers

Now I posted this before, but I ran into a snag!

Edlebrock makes a REAL NICE set of shorty headers for the 5.4L F150.

http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/shorty_headers.html

Now in a previous thread I was told that regular f150 5.4L shorty headers would fit a Lightning.

But when I go to Edelbrocks application chart:

http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/...ml#ford_trucks

It specifically lists the footnotes (A,D,E)
(A) Replaces exhaust manifolds only. No extension pipes included.
(D) Will not fit SVT, Lightning & Harley editions
(E) Will not fit Super Duty models

Looking at specifially "D" it states this will not fir the Lightning.

WHY? what is different?
This makes me question whether or not regular f150 shorty headers will not fit a lightning>

THOUGHTS?

It's simply not true. I have worked with a set of the edelbrock shorties myself though, and they are super high quality, a great product.

do they fit the lightning?

They are much cheaper (in price) than JBA's

they use the same head as a reg 5.4 pi, i'm wondering if the egr feed is in a different spot?

Or phone ford and ask for the part number of both manifolds on a L, against the same year f150 and see if they are the same.
