Welcome to the board.
Check to see if the recall has been done on the cruise control. It's a fire hazard. 2 trucks that I know of have burned.

Get the chip reburned to match your truck & mods. While it may say what mods it was for each truck is different.

You could try the chip? I would install you TB and 4# lower and a set of colder plugs ( Denso IT22s @ .036 ) first. Make a dyno apointment and purchase 5 gallons of race gas 108 or so. Take the race gas and the chip to the dyno. Plug in the chip and dump in the race gas and make a pull. If the A/F is 12.0 or lower then I'd say you will could to go for now.
The next step you will want ot take it to get a Predator and have it Dyno tuned. Also install a FTVB into the trans. Have your tuner leave ALL trans functions STOCK!!
A nice intake..JLP, PSP would be a good choice for a first mod to go with the others I mentioned.

Welcome and good luck!

Welcome,

I would HIGHLY suggest that after you get the mods in place. Don't go over about 6psi of boost til you get a tune that is matched to your paticular mods/needs.

Honestly brother, these trucks are no where near as forgiving as a N.A. car like a stang or F-body. Get that tune before you go WOT... and stay a happy camper.
