I'm pretty basic on mods that add power. (see my web page)
With a 4# lower and a Apten porting I ran a 428rwhp with a 521rwtq.

I would say your average truck with those mods would see 405/505 SAE. The numbers Rich posted is what I see SAE with a 6lb + Apten on my pump gas tune. The race tune makes more.

405/505... is this without exhaust work... basic mods like CAI, 4# lower and ported blower (maybe a cat-back)?

Last time I dyno'd I was at 393/482 w/ 4# lower, 93octane tune and CAI for power mods. I'd hate to get only 12/20+ for a ported blower.

Might as well spend the extra $$ and step up to something bigger/better, IMHO.

I gained 30/30 SAE just from the ported blower. Here is the original thread with links to my dyno graphs.

I was talking without exhaust mods. Was your 393 SAE or STD corrected?

I just got my Autometer steering column boost gauge and I see about 13.5 to 14.5 lbs of boost (in 55 to 60 degree weather). I have a 4lb lower with a Stiegemeier ported eaton. I love the power increase with the mods but I'm sure I'll make the jump to a built motor and KB or Whipple late this year I've got the mod bug BAD!!!

Sorry, I don't have any dyno numbers with my ported blower and pulley. I will hopefully get those this coming Friday or Saturday.

Steve

I've seen as low as 12psi hot lapping on a summer day. And as high as 17 on a very cold day with a cool motor.

Generally in 70degree weather with the truck parked for 45 minutes in between runs I see 14-15psi.

4Lb and Apten 15 psi 427@503 on the dyno I think it was in the mid 80's...

I gained 27HP and 10TQ with the port......as far as I know because of course dyno days were different.

I had a best E.T. .4 better than before the port....almost a half a second...with identical crappy drag race skills...

$ 395 for Apten 15psi or $1675.00 or so for the 15-16psi magnum powers....of course the magnum powers has more potential but for those who want to stay around 430 and not get stupid and dive into the built motor money pit......unless forced to
