Orange wire in the trailer plug. You must have a relay, and fuse for it to be hot. With the relay in its only hot with the key on.

If the customer wants a hot wire thats hot all the time we take the relay out and put in a jumper.

this is a jumper for the IC pump, but you can get the idea.

This pic shows where the relay is for the trailer hot wire. Make sure you put the jumper in right. It goes into the 2 holes that don't line up the same.

What is this for? The IC to circulate constantly when the truck is running? If so, does that make the IC pump burn out?

Yes, jumping that relay will make the pump run all the time. It will kill your battery.

I don't think it will hurt the pump. It would only be done at the track, to cool it. Like some people do with a switch, but without cutting any wires.

The I/C relay in called a "half relay" when you jump it, there is only one way for the jumper to go in (I think).

I put in a jumper and blew a fuse then tried again and blew another what am I doing wrong?

I put the jumper just how you said also I didn't have a relay there in the beginning.

Just to be sure you are putting the jumper in right...here is a pic of where it goes:

Are you blowing the mini fuse (20 amp?) which I believe is also turn signals or the maxi (40 amp?) ? If you're blowing the mini, you've put the jumper in the wrong spot. If you're blowing the maxi, there's something wrong with your wiring from where that jumper goes under the hood to the trailer plug in the back (maybe where you tapped into it). Didn't know what you needed a hot wire in the back for.

I blew a 30 amp fuse and I put the jumper in both ways hence two blown fuses.

I have not touched the wires in back yet
need it for light in bed.

Thanks

For my bed light, I hooked into the tail lights. You may try that so it can't kill the battery.

If you blew the 30 amp maxi, them something is wrong in the trailer plug.
