My heart goes out to those who...

...have to store their L for the winter.

I'd been in Afghanistan for 3 months, and just scored a weeks leave. I love my family, but damn I missed the L! I was a little wary at the first start-up, but man she started right up, no problem (all I did was disconnect the battery and put a cover on her)...can't say the same about my Ducati though I left her once for 8 months with my father when I moved overseas, but again couldn't stand it, so had her shipped over.

It's been kind of unfortunate that it's rained everyday since I've been home. I usually never drive her in the rain, but have to make this one exception. I go back on Tuesday for another 3 months, so I'm living it up!

Anyway, the point was, to those of you who voluntarily put their trucks up for the winter, you've got some fortitude! I love the northeast, hell, I was born and raised in New Haven, CT, and wouldn't relocate there if for nothing more than I'd have to store my own truck! Here's to spring coming soon for you...

Baddgene: Hey man, Glad you're home, safe and sound. May God protect you and your family.

Thanks for fighting for our freedoms. Like having the ability to purchase and drive a Lightning, for one.

I live in southeastern Massachusetts. Except for when there is significant amounts of snow on the ground, I drive my Lightning all year-round.

I wish I lived in Florida, though. I can't seem to figure out why I'm still living here, except it is home.

Have fun driving your SVT in FLA.

Well after a foot of snow this past week, -15c lows, no +c's for the next 2 weeks, looks like more snow this week. I know it's only 8 weeks till the L comes up for some fresh air!!! Winter sucks!!

I'm with ISAF HQ in Kabul. Get up to Bagram about 2 or 3 times a month. Need that BK fix!
