keys
No unfortunately not, the main key to start the truck with the chip in it... I have spoken to my local for dealer who have the WDS machine same as in the US however they do not have the software on for US vehicles it's a right pain in the butt! Mike
When I had my mustang I had to get a new computer for it, and they had to program my keys for the computer swap, origianlly the guys at AMP performance in Phoenix said that most pop-a-lock services had the computer to program them. I couldn't find anyone around here that had one so I had to let the Ford place do it. The unit is called a NGS so try to call around and see who has one of these, with American manufaturer codes. Good luck!
I am sure there is a way to programm the keys in the owners manual.
If not just take your good key and hide it somewhere under the dash this will disable the PATS (some places do this when they install remote starters) and you should be able to use any duplicate kiey you want. the only bad side is the alarm will not be active either (PATS) but you will not have to worry about losing the only other good key
Last thought maybe they can programm keys by your vin number here in the states and mail you the keys preprogrammed
Good Luck

Placing the original key under the dash is probably the best idea.
Find a place where the PATS system can read it and secure it there. Then use your copies for day to day use.
It takes two keys to program new keys on the models that can be programed by the owner. I did this on my 2002. Since you only have one, your kinda screwed.

Here is a little bit of reading on these types of keys.
What is a Transponder Key?
(transmitter-responder= transponder)
Basically it is a radio transmitter / receiver device that is programmed into your cars computer at the factory. If the vehicle's computer does not receive the correct key identification response when the key is turned to the on position, it will not start. No fuel, no spark, no starter. No Go. (Vehicle cannot be hot wired.)
Ford Transponders:
Ford has three systems in use at present:
PATS I, PATS II & EPATS (encryped keys)
PATS I: Have a transponder key made by code, fitting, or duplicating. Follow the owners manual for programming key into system.
PATS II: Requires two original keys be available. If only one key is available-or if keys are lost, programming requires special equipment at a Ford Dealer or a Locksmith that has the (NGS) programmer. Able Locksmith has the (NGS).
PATS I Vehicles:
1996-97 Mustang 1998 Navigator
1996-97 Taurus & Sable 1998 Contour & Mystique
1997-98 Expedition 1997-98 Lincoln Mark VIII
PATS II Vehicles: Also EPATS, (Key has Ford or Mercury Logo inlay, 2000 up)
1998 & up: Mustang, Taurus, Sable, Explorer, Expedition, Navigator, Mountaineer, Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Lincoln Continental.
2000 & up: All Vehicles except Escort and Diesel Pick up.
FORD & CHRYSLER NOTE! If a key has been lost or stolen all keys can be erased from memory and existing keys reprogrammed back into the system.
Have at least 3 keys for these cars. When your down to 1 key you cannot program additional keys by yourself. The appropiate programming device must then be used to add more keys. Up to 8 keys can be accepted. READ YOUR MANUAL!
FORD EPATS keys change to a new ID number each time the key is used.
