I'm not an expert at tuning. However my understanding is that for a 2# pulley they will pull quite a bit of fuel out to lean it up. I'm not sure what a 4# lower with a "2# tune" will do?

I do know that you can run a 4# lower only and no tune. I did and only saw a very slight evidence of it being a little hot. Something I could have fixed with just a colder plug. But when Paul at REM did the tune... HELLO!!

IMO.. I'd not put it on a dyno unless you have the proper tune for the mods you have in place.

It's just a reality check to begin with. Always look at the other evidences in conjunction with a dyno pull. Plugs being numera-uno. Yeah it's "old school" but it works.

In my experiences with my truck, the dyno operator got it up to 3000-3200 rpms (in drive w/OD off) and let it settle for about 10 seconds and then quickly rolled into WOT up til 5500. This way the convertor stays locked up and you don't get a false spike in torque readings.

sorry had to go eat dinner with the girlfriend:o

I just pulled the stock plugs with the 2# lower and everything looked OK. Come to find out that LFP had sent me a 3# instead of a 2#. No harm no foul. Still the plugs looked OK. I have been hearing a little detonation when the truck is in OD on the highway with the new 4# (2# tune). I will stomp on it and it immediatly starts to detonate onn the higher RPMs. I want this to go AWAY. I guess I will have to wait till RWTD gets back ONLINE to provide it's paying customers with tunes!!

I had to vent sorry!!

Ok, I’m somewhat at loss! Every time at WOT overdrive goes in at about “120 mph”! Are we saying that we will go up to 120 mph at the quarter? I have read here the speeds are about 103 stock and up, average some where about 110 mph for slightly moded trucks??
