New stereo mounting kit - pics

There have been a few threads about the new head unit mounting kit put out by Mark at humount.com, so I thought I'd add to it. I needed a kit to mount the head unit and an EQ, so Mark took the regular kit, made a space for the EQ, and made the aluminum face plate to match. The EQ takes the place of the lighted "Lightning" script. His work is top notch, and the kit fits perfectly.

Awesome look man. Mark is up there in my book when it comes to professionalism and just being a reallly nice guy to deal with. I got my "revision 2" faceplate from him last week, and will be installing it soon.

Man, I just looked at my pictures really closely for the first time. There's fingerprints on my head unit, and a booger on my EQ. Really should have cleaned it first before posting on here...

What was his website again? I am to lazy to do a search. With my new Alpine Indash on the way. I might as well order a new dash kit.

Thanks,
Jello

I like the kit as shown in your pic but don't want the face plate. Can you order just the kit?

The mounting kit is actually just the regular F150 kit from Crutchfield, or wherever you normally get these things. But, that kit only has the opening for the head unit, with a little pocket below it. We had to cut that pocket out and open the hole up for the EQ. You could use it without the faceplate, but I wouldn't recommend it. It wouldn't look very good, because the mounting kit gets pretty chopped up from removing the little pocket. The aluminum face plate hides all that.
