i want to order a soft tonneau cover,but on a lift up frame with a latch to close it.
ive seen one on JCWhitney site but on making a enquiry they keep asking me what fitment i require,short/long bed,narrow bed etc.
ive told them that its for a 1999 lightning but they dont seem any wiser.
thing is im in the UK so dont want to order the wrong one,so what should i tell them??

Anything for a F-150 Flareside is compatable. The Flareside bed isn't the shortest bed, some of the quad cab F-150s have a bed that's 3/5 the size of the flareside bed.

Man, it must suck for you having to get in the passenger side to drive that beast.

 

this is the thing,i've told the store that the f150 L is a flareside yet they still seem unsure.
i dont get it,surely someone in the store that sells all the tonneau covers would know what fits a '99 L since there is only one model.
i'll keep trying.

Yes, tell them it's a 97-2003 F-150 Flareside so they won't get confused over irrelevant details.

Dude,

I am in the UK and had the same problem.. the real problem is to get a retailer in the US who will ship to the UK.

Not advertising here but the chaps at this place where real friendly and shipped me a extang soft cover...
