Question on the Roush suspension kit

Probably a stupid question but with this kit do you still need the shackles for the back of the truck, or does the kit take care of verything?

Also,Roush ir Hotchkis? Whis is better for the money?

Also, any good places to do the install in Tampa/Sarasota area and how much should it cost?

The Roush kit reuses the stock shackles. However, I opted to replace the stock shackles w/ 2" drop shackles. I bought the BelTechs from Stylin' Concepts, but a shackle's a shackle. The installation of the Roush kit is fairly straight forward and relatively easy to install if you have average mechanical skills. I would strongly recommend installing it yourself as it would take a buddy and yourself ~4 hrs to install both front and rear and save you some $ in the end. There are detailed installation instructions on this site, just search the forums. Just my $0.02.

The shop that installed my Hotchkis did it for $500 which included alignment. I did shocks and camber bolts at the same time. You should be able to get it done around the same since we are only a few hours apart.

Check out Eric's truck today at Bradenton. He has the FRPP lowering kit that sells for $175. There should be a truck up there with Roush susp. kit so you can compare

I ordered the Roush lowering kit from Chickear but its not going to be here until April or something. I am looking forward to this kit.
The reason I went with Roush is that its a complete system which include the shocks too. Its about $800 plus shipping. Since Roush make aftermarket parts for Ford, they should fit perfectly. Worked with too many aftermarket parts that have to mod it before installs or have to guess where they go.........hee.......hee....... just playing it safe........
