4lb vs. 5lb

have opportunity to get a 5lb for basically free. Currently I have 4lb and MP.

Current Race Tune
440hp
19/20"
11.8 A/F
16psi

would stepping up to a 5lb lower do much good? i know the blower works better the more you spin it, but im not about to throw an 8lb on there....

I picked up a tenth going from a 4# to 5# lower on a stock eaton back in the day.

Rememebr not all 4 or 5lb pulleys are equal. It's best to find out the diameter of the pulley...

AMEN to That!

one of the major tuners sells pulley's that are considerably larger than the other two. And people think it's the tune making all those trucks run 10's.

My 4# lower is a JDM brand. And amazingly it's turned out to be about the same diameter of other vendors 5#ers. Hum....

Not that it's a bad thing.. it's just a more accurate to spec one with a diameter vs the "4lb" or "5lb" method.
