Probably most will tell you that you would be over spinning/overheating the blower. You'll make a lot of low end torque, but you may want to consider lowering your shift points to 4800 RPM. I'd also make sure your A/F is 11.5 or lower, and timing probably no more than 15 degrees (or less) at WOT.

You may end up having to detune your vehicle enough that in the end you're trading HP in the detuning process.

Make torque like a diesel: 650ft/lbs at 1200 RPM with that thing.

On a stock engine, 6# is pushing it.

If you go 8#, you MUST change your plugs, and MUST have it dyno tuned.

I wouldn't put a 8# on mine if someone gave it to me.

I'm happy with my 'lil 6# and ported blower.

I have the same setup as you. I talked to Sal about stepping up to an 8lb and his response was maybe if you do LT headers. Well it just so happens that I am doing that and hi-flow cats so maybe I'll give it a shot.

I liked my 8#, but i couldnt tell as much of a difference as i thought i should. Also this may be couincidence, but my blower took a dump about 5k miles later. What the heck though now ill just get a screw.

I started out with a 2 lber, when that was living dangerously.....
jumped to a 4lber,
then switched to a 6lber,
made the move to an 8lber........

Couple things to remember
I always get a dyno tune when switching pulleys, I run the full exhaust (Long tubes, hi-flow cats, Bassani) and never do those 55mph kickdowns.

Think I'll go bigger this time
