Just bought a Lightning

Well about 2 years ago I sold my 94 twin turbo supra because I needed a truck. I bought a Dodge 4x4. It was a great truck, but I didnt need a 4X4, I needed speed.

I started reading your forums and could not find anyone who was disapointed in their L. So I bought one, and I havent even ever driven one. I hope you are all correct about these things.

The one I bought is at a carmax in Georgia. I have to wait a week fpr it to get here. The people in Ga said it is in perfect condition. I hope so cause i took a big loss on my Dodge, but it will be worth it I hope.

I bought a 2003 blue L with 8700 miles on it. I paid 26,599, or something. It was the best one I could find and i really wanted blue. If anyone knows of this truck could you tell me how it is. You can pull it up on carmax.com.

One of the things I missed when I sold my supra was the following the car had. It was like a family. Now I found my solution, a bad-azz truck with speed and practicality.

Anyways, I look forward to joining your group of the elite truck owners. :

That sounds like a really good deal. I know the blue book was 29k for the truck, so i thought I did ok.

Sweet, another Florida L. I also bought my L having never driven or even ridden in one. I LOVED my Typhoon, so I wanted a truck with as much potential. You're going to love that truck bro. I flew to Detroit to find my cherry 2003 w/3100 miles. Had all the mild mods I wanted (4# lower, FTVB, etc) so I felw there one night on a whim, test drove it for 5 minutes, and cut the guy a check. Drove it 15.5 hours back to Gainesville and have been having nothing but fun with it. Girls seem to like it not even knowing what it is. My GF knew about them already and thought it would be a great ride for me. She was right

Welcome aboard bro. Shoot me a PM and I'll give you a link to the Florida L owner site. Tampa has a HUGE L family going, but I think this site has some sort of issue with them so I can't tell you in this post.
