Unhappy Another oil separator observation....

I have the Campbell Hausfeld separator on my truck. The first day, it filled 1/4 of the way in just a few miles. Then after that, it seemed to stop filling up. I read that the center hung filter gets plugged and stops flow. So I drilled a hole in the bottom center of the filter.

Tonight, I shined a flashlight on it while the truck was running, and it looks like oil is swirling around in there, but not collecting and filling up. What gives?

I tried taking the center filter out all together, and it seemed to stop the swirling, but I didn't seem to be collecting anything either.

Are some separators better (different?) than others? Any ideas to make it collect oil?

I installed the same filter about 3 weeks ago, and the same thing happened. About a teaspoon of oil went in immediately, then nothing since then. Weird.

Is your filter element for oil? There is a difference between a water seperator and a oil seperator.

Just asking the question in case you did'nt know..

This is what the description was:

pull your supercharger and see the oil in your intercooler.......then post back. Nice guy or not, separator or not... if the crankcase is part of your intake system your getting oil.
