When to add traction bars?

I was wondering when to add a traction bar set-up for our L's?
I am currently running just stock but will add a stage 1 by the end of this week. Stage 1= CAI, 4# pulley, SCT tuned, and dyno.
oh and I will install a set of Nitto 555 (Non Drag tires) today. I noticed many L's I read had traction problem and wanted to see when I should add a traction bar set-up to my L's.

By the way, My L is a daily driven.

Thanks

I just put some jlp lift bars on this weekend and i love them. I broke my drive shaft recently do to bad wheel hop. There is no more wheel hop.

the reason for traction bars on our trucks, is to stop the wheel hop & axle warp when it hooks, failure to have traction bars has broken a few driveshafts. just start with a set of slapper bars such as Lakewoods, etc. they're inexpensive and will save your driveshaft, also they should be fine for your mods.
IMO, I doubt the non drag radials will help you much on traction

Good luck and happy modding

The time to do it is the minute you add drag radials or slicks.

They should have been on from the factory.

IMO the way it came from the factory is just fine.

You'll need bars when: You significantly firm up the shifts and/or get sticky tires.

As a daily-driver, I added slapper bars at the same time as the FTVB, chip and pulley, etc. It should be in the intial mods. What's power without traction? Smoke.
