Talking Bassani BX is installed..

I just thought I'd post some pics of my new Bassani exhaust. I ordered the BX series from Mark at LFP and it was here 3 days later. The old exhaust was cake to remove even after 3 years and 13,000 miles. I just heated it up with a torch and whacked it 3-4 times with a rubber mallet and it popped right off. The install was easy enough and the pipes even cleared my Truck-Traks traction bars.

It smells like an arc welder in my truck now but the exhaust sounds great. When will the smell go away and will it get louder as it breaks in?

Damn you people! I didn't have the mod bug until I started coming here.

This picture was shot through the wheel well. It will give you an idea of what the BX looks like. Pardon the water, I had just washed the truck.

I'm saving up for the bassani.
Looks real good.I've heard the sound will get better around 1000
miles and the smell will go away.

Thanks guys, you can't go wrong with the Bassani. It's a shame that changing the exhaust is 10 times easier than changing the plugs.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the BX system if you don't live in an area where they use salt on the roads in winter. I know here in GA you can get 10-15 years out of a daily driven aluminized system as long as you dont take short trips and let condensation sit in the system. I'm sure it sounds great!
