Snow tires?

Hey All:

What are you guys using for snow tires on your trucks? (I am sure most of you aren't driving in the winter, but I am curious).

Thanks!

Steve

All-Terrain tires

Steve:
I put a set of Enkei RT6 rims (18x8.5) and Nitto Terra-Grappler all terrain tires on for the winter. Add a little ballast in the rear bed and the Lightning feels like it has 4 wheel drive!!!

What size did you get? When I looked at them, nothing would fit.

Normal offroads with studs, 2wd or 4wd, can go great on ice or snow. Local auto will put them in. They wear out over time and don't seem to damage tires.

I went with the winter tire/wheel package from
www.tirerack.com.
it's pretty good in the snow as long as you go gentle on the gas.
The rims are fugly though. But it's winter gear.
If it gets really bad I put sand bags in the bed over the rear tires.

HI!... I'm running 4 new MOTOMASTER *ROUGH RIDERS* MUD & SNOW tires. About $205(CAN) each. They are a bit skinnier than my stock tires which is good, due to they CUT through the snow instead of push into it. They are mounted on 4 new 16" x 7" steel F-150 spare tire rims. One was givin to me (thanks JMC!) and the other 3 were bought new from the dealer $85(CAN) each. These things are amazing! They go through a foot of snow like nothing. I also run about 600LBS of sand in two huge RUBBERMAID containers in the bed up against the tailgate. Here's a few pics :

Steve,

I still have a couple of stock 16" F-150 wheels I used on my 2003 L. Tires are already sold but you can have the rims for $15 each plus shipping. If you are interested e-mail me at smith9867@sbcglobal.net
