trying to stall in the morning question
trying to stall in the morning question
Since I got this truck, and the previous owner had this truck, In the morning when it is cold (after sitting all night only) when I first start it, it is trying to idle high of course, and there is a great suction sound coming from the MAF meter.
It sometimes stalls like if I turn off the key and on for a second and recovers before it kills. It does it a few times at random until it gets warm than never does it again for the rest of the day unless I leave it off for a long time and the engine cools all the way down.
Keep it mind, it doesn't stall it just has stall spikes and recovers then does it again randomly for a bit.
I have even driven it and it is like I am turning the key off then back on but not that fast.. a bit slower
The time it stalls to the time it recovers is about 1 second.
It never misses a beat other than that and even in 30ish weather.. after the engine warms runs great, races greater!!
It has a diablochip custom burned by fordchip.com that the previous previous owner installed.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what this could be.
P.S. I have cleaned the MAF sensor and there is nothing else upon physical inspection under the hood that I can see that is wrong.

mine acts like it wants to stall in the cold mornings unless i let it warm up to operating temp.. this morning it was 20 and i had the truck warming up for about 10 minutes before i put it in reverse... didnt do it, but if i try to take off within a couple minutes of sitting there even, it will act like it wants to stall and it will jerk a little then the rpms pick back up and all is good.
