Ratchet straps to pull it away from the mid-pipes.

get a can of break free and a 10 pound sledge.... or cut a slit where it is crimped at to relieve the tension

yup, wrap it around the muffler and around the axle. tighten it a few times, wiggle it a little and off it goes.

plus a mini sledge and a block of wood for a little "motivation."

mine was crimped on from the stock clamps being tightened by superman, it would not budge until i got out the mini-motivator

I used a sizzor jack and piece of wood, to get my cat-back off. Rest the jack on the trans crossmember and the wood on the muffler.

wratchet straps sure made it possible. Hitting the muffle with a ssledge barely moved it.

I used a well placed dog leash. Yeah I know crude but it worked. I tied it onto the pipes and wiggled and pulled at the same time and it finally fell off with a thud.

LMAO

IT only had about 3K miles on the stocker when it came off. And come to think about it, the stock system has less rust than my Bassani, and it's just sitting in my garage
