Cervinis Tailgate Wing

Hey guys,
I was wondering what the verdict is on the cervinis tailgate wing? How does it mount to the tailgate? Does it bend at any speeds? Also does anyone have pics on a silver Lightning?
Thanks,
Simon

HI!... I don't like it. Looks too much like *RICE* to me, but that's just my opinion.

It is very secure, and trust me it won't move at any speed.

I am very happy with mine, been on for 3 years and no pboblem.

Well unless your going over 180 MPH than that wing is totally un-functional. Therefore *RICE*. Too me it's goddy and doesn't sute our trucks at all. It looks outta place. But that's my opinion. Except for the CERVINI's 3" cowl hood (i have one) most of the CERVINI's stuff for our truck is F-UGLY. Check this f-ugliness out :

The Cervini spoiler is the only spoiler I would ever put on a truck. I like the nastruck look and think it looks great on Ls'.

DO what you think looks good period.

You don’t have to be traveling at 180 MPH to have down force. You can get “functional” down force, with a wing, at speeds less then 60 MPH.

Sure, at 60 MPH down force is not going to help a lot, but if you’re running the ¼ mile down force CAN help by providing more traction to the rear wheels. This is important, or more important when shifting, regardless if it is manual or automatic, down force will help the rear wheels maintain traction, or more traction then they would have had.

If down force wasn’t important at speeds around 100 MPH then there would be no reason for NASCAR to use it at Bristol which is a track they barely see 120 MPH at the END of the straight.

It’s all physics and with the type of wing shown in this thread it IS a functional performance item, regardless if someone likes it or not.

It is far from rice because “rice” items do NOT enhance performance, this particular item does…

It suits OUR trucks because OUR trucks have the lines and body style that the regular F150’s do not. So I do agree, with your body style it would look odd and out of place…

I have always respected ypur opinion about anything concerning our trucks. But Iam sorry to say you lost me on this one Neal. In my opinion the Cervini rear wing fits the Late model Ford trucks just fine. You do know that plenty has been said about a cowl hood on a Ford.
You just have to take peoples opinion as that, opinions.
I just happen to have that sissy Cervini wing and a Cervini 3" cowl hood on my truck, and they happen to make my truck look good, in my opinion, and maybe help my truck run high 11's in the quarter.
Faster times next week

Actually, I like the hood in the Pic. Same color as my truck.

HI!... Well I'm sorry. I just expressed my opinion. I don't like it and think it looks very *RICE* on our trucks. To each his own I guess. It's your truck, do whatever you want to it. As far as I'm concerned it's a piece of uselees plastic that looks tacky.

Flame suit on............... and don't really care.

I vote for the wing, one of the few if any that actually looks like it came with it...

Good Mod
