Any tuning issues, especially part throttle?

Nice looking piece, in my opinion.
Did you have any dyno numbers before you installed the plenum? And if so, are you going to see if there are any gains?

Mine is fine at part-throttle Jody. I've logged about 3500+ miles with it on. What tuning issues are you having? The only thing I notice is that there's a LOT more air noise you hear rushing into the blower since the cast unit isn't muffling out the sounds.

Gator-
I was spinning the blower at I calculate @18,000 rpm to pushing 15 lbs of boost and dynoed at 540 rwhp with a extrude-honed ported intake. Then, with the JLP upper, we dropped the boost to give the same 15 lbs of boost spinning blower @ 16,285 rpm.

The end result was 15 hp gain, 555 rwhp while spinning the blower slower.

My guess is its definitely worth 30hp @ the same blower rpm.

Not blaming the intake, just wondering if it's contributing. I tuned the built motor with the C&L intake in a day, worked great. Then added the JLP intake and full throttle is fine and idle and super light throttle are okay, but the normal loading or towing a light trailer areas are very surgy and I have not been able to solve it. Go harder into the throttle and it's okay again.

Does the boost stay constant during normal loading? Or is it also surging also?

24psi

WOW, I just saw 24psi with the swap, I was only making 17-18 before on a good day! 3.0 upper. I stomped it at 55-58mph and went side ways on the interstate with nittios on!:3g:

I let off at 4500rpm Good lord

The old dyno was 598/701 standard #s Just boost no juice

JLP intake=:goodmod:

This is the only one I could find; not the best, but a good one.
As soon as I get to the dyno I'll post the new #s & the track for the new ET

Boost is steady. I pulled the battery cable overnight and re-loaded an earlier rich tune. Seemed to pretty much take care of it, but the A/F under 1/3 to 1/2 throttle is 10:1! Leaned it back out to a reasonable A/F and it's right back to surging, showing 13-14:1 A/F part throttle. Other thing is I do NOT trust this new Dynojet wideband, way too erratic to be correct in my opinion. Tomorrow I'm going to put my LM-1 back on and verify the A/F. It could be nothing more than this Dynojet gauge is off in left field and I'm trying to tune with bad numbers.

Well so far I'm very happy with it; idle rpm needs a tweek but all in all big hit in the seat of the paints
