Does anybody know how much it is for the dealer to install the ford remote start if you supplied it.

They charge by the hour,it cost me $65 rate plus the alarm about $600 or so to have it installed. The alarm was $300,the labor was high, but they did a good job on the install.

I installed my ford remote start/keyless entry in my supercrew in about 5hrs no problems but i read throught the instructions several times and you do have alot of work and tight spaces. If you have the $$ get the dealer to do it, but it can be a DIY!

I am not sure if anyone have problem by-passing the PAT system for the remote start on our L's but I took my L to this shop in northern california since I heard they work on lots of high end vehicles and do great jobs.
They by-passed it by removing the chip in our keys and installed it by the ignition for my Viper 791VX remote start since the by-pass DEI 555P that usually needed for this Viper alarm sucks and works only if it wants to.

Right now, I use my remote start with no problem...........starts up everytime...............
