What do you do with ur truck in winter?
For all you snow people, what do you do with your trucks in the winter time? this spring im trading in ye ol mustang for another truck(Tires of being cramped) So im either finding a used 04 Lightning or waiting until july and getting an 06 Supercew FX4, im leaning more towards the L at this point because i love them to death. just wanted to find out if you guys get crap beater cars to drive in the snow and put the L away. i dont know if this sounds stupid i was thinking of getting the L and then buying a $6,000 4x4 like a Jeep cherokee or Ford explorer or something. Good idea bad? Blah blah, Thanks for the help guys.
BTW. does anyone know where i can do a search to see if theres possibly a new 04 floating around somewhere?

My 03 L is my daily driver. In the mountains of Colorado I have never been stuck! I use 235/75 R 16 Yokohama Geolander Snow tires on cheap aluminum rims, and add about 400 lbs of sandbags to the bed of the truck.
F1's will not work in a foot of snow, but my other tires work suprisingly well. I have never regretted getting rid of the Super Duty 4x4 and I live at 9500 ft. We get lots of snow! My L is the best daily driver I have ever had.
Good luck,
Greg

I'll be driving it when the weather isn't terrible. But I'll also be driving my Grand AM GT a lot too.

Mine is tucked away in the garage and ready for spring. The sad part is that it still has the numbers on it from when it was last out at the track in the fall.
I would for sure buy a better. There is no need to take a chance with it in the rain or snow. Plus, you will keep it nicer.

no way
Park the thing. I tried to drive my truck the first year i had it in the winter. Luckily we only got like 3 storms and they were minor. I had snowtires and weight and all that crap and it was useless. Now i have an 88 Olds, front wheel drive. Paid 300 bucks for it and it's the nuts. Here is where my truck stays for the winter. My old man's is in the garage.
Here is the storm we just had. 3 feet in the Boston Area
I just got it dug out Sunday.
