Angry rear lights + water

I have water in my 01 lights. I was thinking about taking them apart to get the water out. But now I may just take the cover off and leave it off.

I think Rob had something like that on his truck. Does anybody have pics of lights without the cover? I did see some online but the pic was not that good.

thanks

Moisture in these lights is a loosing battle I believe. I have had numerouse sets replaced. My first truck went through seven or eight pairs, and I am up to two sets already on the new truck.
People have tried plugging up the hole where the wiring for the taillights comes in from the bed, but that did not work for me.
Mine doesn't do it nearly as bad anymore becasue it never is in the elements, and never needs a bath. Keep an eye on your third brake light... the two bulbs on either side of mine collect moisture pretty easily now.
