Rollpan weight?

Hey Guys, I'm right in the middle of a winter "weight reduction project".

I'm just curious what a roll pan *actually weighs*? Andbody measure one?

HI!... When I weighed my factory bumper it was 68lbs. My STREET SCENE roll pan was 8LBS. So I lost 60LBS off the truck. My truck currently weighs 4120LBS with me in it and 3895lbs without me in it. I'm hoping to drop another 150LBS off it by SUMMER.

My et streets bite. And the new 305 55 nittos grip (or I should say spin less) than the stock F1s did.

Since I don't have any real asperations of going mid 11s or quicker, weight off the rear is'nt hurting me. And besides, *if* it ever is a problem? I can easily put the 6# winch and 57# rear tire back on.

Weight is easy to add... not easy to take off.
It's winter, I have no mod money, but I do have a cutoff wheel.

Hoping to get it finished and posted with pics in the march issue of lightningrodder.com e-zine.

(lost about 33lbs and it's still a functional bumper. well... mostly functional )

Thanks

The rear bumper is comprised of two basic parts. The outer skin... which is about 0.8mm thick steel.
Then there is the unbelievable 6mm THICK bracing.

You do the math: 6mm thick steel -minus- Rich with a cut off wheel on a Sat = weight reduction

No... I never intended to. 1/2 the reason I bought this truck was because it is a truck. I use it accordingly too. Home depot.. boat to the lake.. motorcycles to the mountians, ect..

And sometimes a feller needs to stand on the rear bumper to reach stuff. I'm 240 and it can't be a girly ricer wanna be rollpan.

so with the weight reductions that you did would it be safe to stand on now? sounds to me you made the bumper as useless as my girly wanna be rollpan.
