That's right! My L shot out a Spark Plug like a bottle rocket and took the threads with it.... Fortunately, I know someone in ford locally and they are doing a P07 to replace Both heads, gaskets plugs and all and a P05 for the leaky intercooler. What else should I have them inspect/repair while the truck is all apart????

welcome to the blown plug club
get it fixed under warranty if you've got it.. otherwise, you are going to need some thread inserts for the head, or an entirely new head. could do heads/cam built motor... now would be a good time if you're eventually planning on doing that. take it to a speed shop though that knows what they're doing. I had my head fixed under warranty, and asked to see what it would have cost me... 2800
edit: Just reread the entire thread and missed your question. i guess have them check the rest of the driveline?

How many miles were on you guys truck when this happened? I have a 2000 also with 34000 and was wondering when its gonna happen to me. Hopefully if it does I will still be under warranty.

You could add some 03 head gaskets and some ARP head studs.

thanks for the replies.

My truck currently has 31K on it. It's at Ford getting the heads replaced. total job was 3300 but all i have to pay is 500. I am also doing the Intercooler upgrade/repair thing too while they are there.
