well after about 6 hours...12 beers...7 bloody knuckles and every 4 letter word in the book i finally finished the spark plug job...it wasnt as bad as i was suspecting but the place that put the previous plugs in stipped a coil back bolt and just left it so that took me abuot 2 hours to get out....it was the second to last one back on the driver side...passenger side was pretty easy but those back 2 on the driver side occupied a majority of my time....but im glad i finally did and i saved myself alot of money!!! sorry for the rant im just so excited and the truck runs good as new with 41k hard miles now

I used a flexhead gear wrench with a socket adapter to remove the coil pack screws. The thin wrench will slide in most anywhere and the adapter has a wheel that you can turn with your finger after the screw is loosened.
I use the coilpack screws that madenterprise sells. They are the poop. They save a lot of time and headaches of dealing with the stock screws. Congrats on the change my first took me 4.5 hrs four changes ago. I am down under an hour with the new screws now.

Ya know, I just didn't find doing plugs to be that difficult. Thanks to the post on here and having the right tooks before hand (7mm swivel) it wasn't nearly as bad as I'd prepared myself for by hearing all the horror stories. Maybe it's just because I was use to working under the hood of a 300ZXTT with little to NO room for hands.
HI!... HA, HA, HA !!!!!! I changed my plugs yesturday. It usually takes me 37 minutes but took me about 1 hour yesturday. Hey it was -5 degree's outside and I had the flu.....
Seriously though I don't see why everyone has such a hard time changing plugs on these trucks. It's quite simple really. I can do my passenger's side bank in less than 10 minutes. Driver's side is best done by removing the fuel rail and swinging the EGR tube out of the way. I installed AUTOLITE AR-93's at a 0.34 gap.
