Fuel Pumps Install
Yeah, here are some tips:
Run the tank down low to minimize the mess.
It's easier on a lift where you can drop the tank with plenty of clearance and no unusual body contortions.
Wear gloves.
Be careful with those microscopic circular clip thingies (I forget what they're called) that keep the filters on the tips of the pumps. They are a PITA to get on, and if they fall off and disappear under the workbench you will be sorry.
You may want to reuse the factory gasket on the "lid" if you don't have a lot of miles on your truck and the gasket is in good shape. The new aftermarket gasket didn't seem as nice to me (was missing the rubber pips that help index and hold the gasket in place).
