Cleaning MAF?

Cleaning MAF?

I am having a idling problem with my truck and a couple guys to me to try cleaning the MAF. Would you guys mind giving me some instructions on how to clean the MAF or sensors, or whatever it is your supposed to clean! I would appreciate some detailed instructions....I am not the best at under the hood stuff!!

If your having idle issue's your gonna want to clean the IAC, which is that silver tube looking thing that is bolted to the passenger side of the upper intake. Use some carb or throttle body cleaner on it, sometimes the spring inside gets its movement impeded by dirt/oil crap. Later

I changed the IAC completely, its 2 days old...problem still there. I was going to try the MAF, how should I go about doing it....?

DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER!
carb cleaner leaves a thin oil residue to lubricate a carb.

USE BRAKE CLEANER or electrical cleaner
It will leave no residue.

I bought some brake cleaner but where exactly do I use it.....there are 2 plugs going to the maf as for as I can see. Do I unplug those and spray brake cleaner in there? Please explain? I am a dummy about this stuff??
