Angry Probs at the track

Ok, so last night there was some nice weather and since i had the night off i decided to run my truck, ive got a superchips 1715 programmer in and about 1/2 way down the track i start getting the marbles in a can sound so right then i get off the gas and slow it down and ease into the end of the track, i finished at 16.6 with a 54 mph clock, ive heard a lot of people saying thats the key sound before the motor goes boom, so, can a tune from razors edge fix that? and would they be able to use my same chip or do i have to buy a new one to be dyno tuned? ...oh yea i ran against a Red L last night and was walking him till i let off the gas and he ran a 13.3 (but i still got the win, he jumped early :-D )

i always run 93 but the other day i had to stop at a 7-11 to get gas because i wouldnt make it anywhere else and it was acting a little odd, so i stopped at shell and when it was at 1/8th of a tank i put 3/4 of a tank of the v-power in and hoped it wouldnt make the sound but it still made the marbles sound

I'd suggest giving Paul at REM a call. He'll get you set straight.

Good job on hearing the detonation! Otherwise this post would have been about how you just blew the motor...

yuk

pump gas at the track equals kaboom!!!!!

Make sure if you are gonna do that , your tune is set for 93, which will probably have less timming. Glad everything came out ok. Might wanna check the plugs, or change them if you haven't already!!!

Which version of the 1715 do you have? Are you running a pulley with your 1715 or do you have other mods? Do you have a fresh fuel filter?
