Which cams are better?

If you don't mind me dropping in and asking a question, here goes.

I recently picked up a good set of 2001 5.4L heads. I am having them rebuilt for a 4.6 Forged Long Block I am building with a conversion to PI heads.
Here is my question;
I already have a good set of 1999 Lightning cams. I assume they are PI cams, are they? Also, which cams are better to use in a mildly blown motor, the 2001 cams or the 1999 Lightning cams? Is there an advantage to using the L cams or are they essentially the same?
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

WLF

id figure the cam specs for 99 and 01 are the same. im not sure if the 4.6 and 5.4 cams are the same, either way if you are planning something with a little bit of hp, go with aftermarket cams

From a performance standpoint, all Ford 2V PI cams are the same (4.6 and 5.4)

Dale-01L,
Thanks for the reply. Then there is no difference between the cams in the stock 5.4 and the Lightning motors?

Nope... Not as long as the 5.4 heads you have are PI heads...
