Ram air hoods

Gotta Q thinking of buy 1 with the air hole in the bottom of the hood where the air comes out to the filter box what keeps the water from getting into the filter box alond with the air from the fun.ram air hood ty u

Anytime you have a ram air where the air flow is downward? Drainage has to be taken into account. A well designed system would also remove the heavy drops from the now induced air flow.

If it is going to flow in a little moisture then an Outerwears prefilter would be a good idea. It is like a loosely woven windbreaker (Jacket) material that repells water plus keeps sand and grit out of the filter.

P.S. You can't plumb into the top of the stock box on a Lightning like you can on a regular F-150.

Here s what i will have is a open air filter kit sure can hurt to have the air flowing from the out side of the hood right over top of the open air filter right ...ty u for ur answers
