I am over it. I have been over it.
The thing that gets me is that I hear bad comments about them everywhere.
In the five years that I have been here, I have never seen a vendor develop this bad a reputation. They have all been around here for roughly the same amount of time... but just one continues to go downhill.

Bad reputation???? I think the majority of people on here respect JDM. I dont see them having a bad reputation. JDM's business practices have changed and expanded. They had some kinks, but they seen to be going strong and will continue to do so.

So i dont know where this bad reputation is coming from.

huh

but just one continues to go downhill.
Continues to go downhill. The title of the post is Kudos to JDM. Last time i checked, that was a positive thing. I've seen far more posts about the good things that JDM has done lately then any bad. Mainly because the same jerk offs that kept trying to give JDM a bad wrap for things they may or may not have done in the past have decided to finally shut the hell up.

By the way........if you are over your exhaust issue, maybe you should change your sig.

I have a silver bullet that the pipes rusted on. I don't drive in the snow and hardly ever in the rain. Big deal, they didn't use stainless pipes in the past and now they do. Don't see me complaining do ya!!

That's because the rest have been removed, they sure as hell don't have my vote.

My experiance with JDM was great. When I like the products and the service of any buisness i'm going to give them a thumbs up, and say there a great company. So if that makes me a JDM cheerleader well 'RAH RAH RAH SIS BOOM BA'!!Whatever kind of buisness you have, it could be the best in the world, there is always going to be a few people that just cannot be pleased no matter what.Any buisness is going to have problems, and no matter how hard you work to resolve and fix there problem, they still get mad and then they go on a campaign to say that your buisness is terrible and how you screwed them. Some people have grudges against JDM for whatever reason and jump at every chance to talk crap. This went from JDM helping a guy out to a JDM debate.

When you are on the top of the hill, there are a lot of people trying to knock you down!

Ninesecnothin.....Dude, I don't think I'll make WFC, because of my job. I work on ships for the navy. If I did go, and I did meet you, and you did infact have a 9second L, I would shake your hand and ask you a few questions about it, before or after you swung at me. The fact remains that you have been called out several times about that truck, and have no proof to back it up. In all sincerity, we are enthusiasts here, tell us about that beast.... regardless of who tuned it or wrenched on it. There is no need to repeatedly attack people, vendors or members. You have made your opinion clear, and if you are trying to alart newbs of the pros or cons of a vender, don't waste your time, there is enough info on here, both pro and con, of EVERY vendor (yes, everyone messes up once in a while) that any consumer that takes 1 hr to search these boards can come up with a wealth of information to base his or her desicion on.

As for your direct threat to me...if you still feel sore towards me, bring it biatch...I plan on attending several FFW's this year, and race at tracks all over the east coast. I'm not a big guy, but I know when to duck, I know when to swing, and I know when to hit the gas and watch you bounce off my hood!!!!

Wow things get all out of hand around here. I may as well throw in my .02 .
I am modding a 2003 L and have done a great deal of internet research. I have purchased parts from PSP, LFP, JDM, Apten, and some other non Lightning specific vendors. Some choices for price and others for conveniance, or special expertise.
It is now time to chose a tuner to bring my toy to the next level. I am from Ct. so my choices are PSP and JDM. (I had considered JLP since they have the top dog truck even though they are further away, but after talking to their crew at Cecil last fall, I couldn`t possibly let them touch my baby.)
I mentioned buying from PSP and did so in a group buy for the FTVB. It is very difficult to reach anyone there and on a subsequent purchase I asked for price and availibility for a few items and never got a response to phone and email requests. This purchase was placed with LFP and turned into over $3000 in merchandise ordered(thanks Mark).
For the past season I have attended shows at race venues around the Northeast and was truly impressed with team JDM`s helpfulness and enthusiasm for our hobby and overwhelmed by their generosity. They have earned my business with their efforts and I look forward to a great relationship with them.
BTW I have to date only purchased their full exhaust, but will be proud to go into contests flying their colors.
Jim

Well JRS Blown Snake I observed the "crew" who were manning the JLP trailer behaving recklessly in the pit area with a pocket bike, as well as not having any useful info while asking some L related questions earlier in the day. I have been contacted by JL earlier today via email and it appears it may have been customers rather than employees at fault.
JL sent a sarcastic thanks after reading my post, but I responded feeling he deserved an explanation. He read my explanation and responded quickly and responsibly which says a lot in my book. Johnny has also asked me to call him on his cell and I will do so later today when off work.
It seems an unfortunate occurance, but it goes to show how important first impressions are. I feel bad if anyone loses business from anything I say, but always state my observations truthfully. It seems this problem will be solved "right now "as Johnny is aware of the situation.
Regards Jim
