boost gauge

i plan on doing many mods when the good weather comes, like 4 or 6 lb lower, full exhaust, chip, anti-sway bars and traction bars to name a few. these mods are meant to add power and stability and i am not looking to make my truck very fancy looking, i am going for more of a sleeper look (if there is such a thing with an L)now with the new pulley i will gain greater boost, more than the stock gauge can handle. my question is: is there any way to maybe re-calibrate the stock gauge so that instead of it reading 10 lbs of boost it measures 20? so that every 1 Lb on the gauge eqauls 2 Lbs of boost? i just dont want to put aftermarket gauge pods and columns in the interior, i want to keep my stock look. thanks alot

Ray has put some time into this and the final product should be decent. It will also include everything you need to be able to calibrate you gauge also. He's using my gauge cluster to design it and he said the stock gauge was reading just over 2lbs lower than what it should have. Each truck will be different, but it just goes to show you how far off the stock gauges are from the factory. Follow the previous link for updates on his project....

I bought the autometer column mount and the lunar boost gauge fron Jegs (were cheapest). I installed the column mount onto the collumn by just slipping it over the factory piece.. its a tight fit so I did not have to use the silly little buttons or sticky tape it comes with it. I ran the vacuum line down the column to the factory vacuum union right under the steering column on the drivers side. I installed a vacuum -T and just spliced it in. for illumination I used an add a fuse and used a fuse on the lightning circuit. The add a fuse plugs right into the fuse panel and provides an extra protected circuit... its the clean, correct way to add a circuit in my opinion... no wire cutting involved.

The gauge pod part # is 15004 and is an autometer/gaugeworks product

The gauge is a 2 1/6 indiglow auto meter unit part # 4103

the add a fuse I got from autozone for 5 bucks I also use one to hard wire my radar. The are hassle free.

Edit: here is a link to the add a circuit I used if this helps
