Most of the rims that I see come with 275-45's, will this size work? I'm not sure I want to go any skinnier than stock. What size are you guys running on your 20's?
OK, let me rephrase the question...
most rims that I see in ads come with 275/40 or 275/45 tires, will that width be good enough? or should I go with at least the stock width (295) at least in the rear? I dont want to be spinning tires really anymore than the stock ones.

Many 20" rims are 9" wide, instead of 9.5" like the stock rims. Therefore, you can use a slightly narrower tire (i.e. 275 instead of 295).
The overall diameter of the 275/40 is closer to the stock overall diameter. Also, a 275 will fit the 9" rim with less "bulge" than a 295. That may be why most places package their 20x9 rims with 275 tires.
I am looking eventually at upgrading to 20's, but will probably go the route of 295/40 for the added protection against curb rash. A 275 tire is pretty much the same width as the rim itself.
