Whats the best ... oil separator or Cap off the intake and use breathers ?

I am gonna try to do one of these two mods today ... And i was wondering which one is the best to stop the problem ( probley the breathers ) .... Do breathers alone get the job done of venting the crankcase gases ?

If your truck is used I would pull off the blower and check the intercooler now to see if its oil coated and dirty.

A separator is fine and keeps the PCV system in place, it should help keep the oil ingestion to a insignificant level. Thats all I would do to the PCV system as far as modding it to slow oil ingestion because it wont compromise the motors ability to vent.

Removing the PCV from the air intake system and letting the engine vent thru breathers obviously keeps 100% of the oil out but its not legal.....and yes breathers get the venting job done, run 3.

A compromise of the 2 choices you have offered would vent the crankcase and probably eliminate oil ingestion. I never
experimented with it but,...... install a separator and one breather installed at the oil cap........some trucks run lean with a single breather some dont, have it checked if you run like this.
