TCE 6-pistons spindle/caliper mods?
TCE 6-pistons spindle/caliper mods?
After drueling over the TCE brake kit for several years, I think I'm going to order a kit this spring. I figure go big or go home, so I'm seriously eyeing the 6-piston upgrade. The TCE website states that some modifications to the spindle and caliper are required for the 6-piston setup? has anyone done these mods or know what they entail? Will 2000 L wheels fit w/ the 6-pistons? Any comments on the 4-piston vs. 6-piston Wilwoods?
Thanks in advance!

Well, I'm not sure why you'd NEED the 6 piston. The 4pot is more than adequate for almost any conceivable situation. Also, you should find out what the exposed piston area is. You may find that the 6p are smaller bore and greater in number but don't provide a signifcant increase in clamping force over the 4p.
I have the four piston TCE set-up. You don't need anything with more pistons. Call Todd. He will guide you to the correct decision. I do track days on road courses with my L and have never lost brakes at the track no matter how hard I beat on them........and I do beat to them.
