I got some mobil 1 5w20 at autozone the last time i changed my oil. guess i got lucky.

Mobil 1 5w-20 recently replaced the 0w-20 that had been available prior. They probably found they were losing sales to people looking for a 5w-20.

I used to run Royal Purple in my stock engine. I just put in a JLP long block and Johnny recommended 5-30 Havoline until 8-10 thousand miles are on her. After which time I could run synthetic. He stated that in his experiance the rings won't fully seat until then. He runs the Havoline in his trucks. So contrary to what I would have done I'll stick with my engine builders recommendation.
