Upper Pulley ???'s

I want to buy a ported blower and install a smaller upper pulley. What is the smallest upper pulley that I can run on the stock belt? smallest if I buy a idler setup? How much would each pulley add?
Oh yeah dont want to go with the lower pulley cause of removing it. This way I can just change out blowers.
Thanks,
Simon

Simon, IMHO you really don't want to be changing the upper
pulley. First you need a special pulley removal tool or risk damage to the pulley and the S/C input shaft.
Second the smaller upper pulley will have less grip then the stock pulley.
With a ported blower just use a 6# innerchangable lower pulley, chip and dyno tune.
Changing the stock lower is a piece of cake.

If you think the 6# lower is to much power for your stock block,
just have your tunner hold back the timing untill you ready to unleash that beast.

get a lower pulley you wont regret
a lower can be swapped in 30-45 minutes from stock to a cageless.

Was the tool purchased or on loan from RPM?
If it was a loaner, you may have trouble getting the tool
the next time you want to change pulleys.
Just thinking out loud.

If you don't own a bearing puller you can rent one from lets say Autozone. Thats what I use to change mine out and a screw type bearing press to put it back on.

I had my blower snout turned down so I can run a 2.69 upper.
