dynoing question/new dyno numbers
when you dyno our trucks what gear is the truck supposed to start out in?? i just had mine dyno'd by a local dyno with my chicagosvt.com people. i was the only L there and i dont think they knew what they were doing there. i got some crazy number on the firts pull.
heres a vid of the first pull that they did, its only 10 seconds cause its from my digital camera.

i think the torque is way high for what im making. JL dynoed my truck after he built it with 100 miles on it and he said 434rwhp and 518rwtq... now i have 4000 miles on the truck and added a ported plenum and phenolic spacer kit since ive had it back.
does this look right.. or even possible to be that high?? i think im going to take it to another dyno to see what they get.

Doh... Just posted on Miloc..
next time...
1. turn off OD.
2. Slowly accelerate up until you are in 3rd gear
3. once in 3rd gear take it up to 3200 rpms slowly.
4. That is where you start your run ~3200 rpms. (the truck won't downshift, from what I'm told)
5. Take it up to about 5700... Some go to 6000 but that seems a little excessive.

I'm were your at. Went and got the L dyoed last Sat and I don't think they knew what they were doing either. My run seems to be started in 4th gear they romp it, it shift to 3rd speeds up and then shifts back to 4th. My #'s were 431/499 - HP high torque low. I have full exhasut so that could maybe be the reason for the higher HP and lower torque. I'm going to try to roll to the Dallas/Ft. worth area and have people known for dynoing L and see what they come up with. I just recently posted a thread with my graph if you want to see it...
