Long story. Short version: 5th gear synchro failed, dealer wouldn't fix, reigonal rep voided my warranty, took 'em to court, and they bought back the car. Ate it would be the more appropiate term. Never again . You think Ford service is bad? Hah.

I don't think so. I have an '04 GTO 6-speed. My L would spank it like a red headed stepchild. My L was far from stock, but I'm not sure I could beat a stock one either. If L driver doesn't know how to launch I might get him, but I'd have to be flawless on my end. I like the stab and steer of the L. Just hated the auto box in the GTO, seemed very sluggish.

One thing I think everyonr here is forgetting. You read the times in a magazine and forget its not the average joe driving. Launching a stick anything, takes alot of pratice, pratice, pratice

I'll take that bet. My dad has one. They're really nice, quick cars. But even with some mods, they can't keep up with my stock L.

Better learn how to drive it. A guy on my local board went 13.08 or 13.12 at Cecil the last week before they closed. He's a Manual too.

Also he's been running consistant 13.2's all year.

I've raced a GTO when I had a filter and muffler and beat it by 1-2 cars.

Unhappy We might not like it but

according to the Feb Motor Trend, the SRT-8 ran a
1/4 mile: 13.2 @ 108.1
0-60 mph: 4.9 sec
60-0 : 113 ft
at a lightweight 4190 lbs.

It is making good power. With a few mods it will hurt us, at least a stock truck...
