Stopped By JL’s Again

Stopped by JL's again.......

Stopped by JLP last night and picked up my truck. This past fall we added a KB and many other goodies so about three weeks ago I dropped it off to have a built motor put in it. JL did it up right! I now have a JLP Built Motor, CNC Ported Heads, Stage 3 Cams, 8lb Lower Pulley, MAF X Tender, JLP Afco Heat Exchanger, KB BOOST-A-PUMP, PI 2800 Converter, JLP Polished Valve Covers, A Pillar Gauges – Boost & Fuel Pressure. After all the work it dynoed at 586/650. It is truly a ‘beast’ as Johnny has named it!

No worries now about rods or spitting plugs. Wonder how long my tires will last?

A big thanks to JL and Sue for their great personal service!!

Can't wait for dry roads. I was only able to put about 100 miles on it last night before the rain started.

How much boost are you making? What size KB pulley do you have? Nice numbers... How is the idle with those stg 3 cams?

tlfwatch - JL advised me to break it in through normal driving and change the oil in 1500 miles.

JeffsLightning - The KB has a 3.5 pullley and I'm making about 14-15# of boost. I have limited the WOT as the motor is so new. The idle is different than the original motor. It isn't rough which is what I had expected. I does have a very aggressive rumble to it. I am very pleased. The motor is very smooth. JL balanced the motor and the balance chart shows 0.11 grams and 0.24 grams which is awesome and I expect that has a lot to due with the idle and overall smoothness.

Awesome numbers!

I wish I lived closer to JL.. I'd hop over more often!
Then again that might be a bad thing. The cash in my wallet already seems to be magnetically attracted to him.
