Transmission Fluid level

I recently put in a FTVB and Moroso pan. I checked my fluid level after going through all the gears and it idleing, it was a little above the "full" mark which is at the top of the "Hot" cross hatch area. Will it be ok to leave it like this or do I need to drain some out? Thank you!

When you checked it at idle was the motor up to temperature? If not it is important the motor is up to temperature and then cycle the transmission through the gears. When you say “a little” above the full line, what is “a little”? 1/16”, 1/8”, 1/4”?

I would think under a 1/8” over would be ok if you haven’t drove it yet. I have read many times when people install the FTVB and pan that it may take a few days to get a good reading on the level, or in other words it “may” go down and that is why it is important to monitor the level for a few days after an install.

I've run many automatic trannys over the full mark. Does not matter. If they are waaay over full, you will get some tranny fluid coming out of the air vent located on the top of trannys. In your case, you're so close to the "perfectly full" mark you won't notice anything.
