Harley bolts and s/c gaskets

About to paint my supercharger/clean intercooler and was wondering what gaskets will need to be replaced. I have found great info researching just thought I would clarify to make sure so I can go ahead and get the gaskets through ford. Also need to get chrome harley bolts that hold snout to the blower.

What color are you going with? By the way I got a JLP Intake, FTVB and Moroso pan you need to see!

Sammy Pangle of Pangle racing is taking it of Monday and I will be painting it and the plenum black/polishing the ribs of the plenum along with the throttle body and the "eaton" part. I was going to get the jlp, but Tom sold me his old setup for one hell of a deal. Would love to check out the FTVB as I plan on getting it soon(still havn't hooked my trans temp gauge!). How much did you pay for the moroso pan? I could have got you a discount on it through work.

I got the pan to my door for $167.00. Let me know when you get your stuff painted and back on. We need to meet up.

If the chrome Harley bolts are available, please post a part number. I tried to order standard bolts, but they only come as apart of the blower assembly.

No need for new gaskets, the supercharger gaskets are reusable.

You don't need to replace the gaskets. But if you insist, call your local Ford Dealership's Parts department and say you need a Large Lower Blower Gasket and Plenum Gasket. Be sure to let them know the year and model of your truck, there's different bolt patterns for different year trucks. It doesn't hurt to get some Eaton Oil either... XL4 Is what it's called I think.

You cannot buy the supercharger snout bolts directly from Ford without buying the entire blower assembly...I tried. There is an Ace Hardware here in Denver that carries a nice assortment of regular and Allen head bolts that have been chromed. Was looking at them this past Sunday and chrome bolts that are roughly the size of the snout bolts (couldn't remember the exact size when I was there) run about $3.00 each. You might try calling a few Ace Hardwares where you are and see if they carry or can get the chrome bolts for you.

You can reuse the gaskets and the bolts.

Sadf,
I replaced the S/C snout bolts with polished chrome bolts.
I got them from my local Harley Davidson M/C Dealer on special order from Gardner Wescott,.. a major supplier of Chrome & speciality fastners. First the bolts on the S/C snout are Metric. Here's the PN from The Gardner Wescott Catalog:
Bolts: 8MM X 1.25 X 45MM (Length) PN 10778
Washers: 8MM Flat Chrome PN 23989.

They look sweet on the SC! I also Replaced all the upper Plenum bolts as well with polished chrome,............. awsome!

Good Luck
Paul

I plan on cleaning intercooler at the same time, will the lower intake manifold gasket need to be replaced? Also, what bolts need to be replaced?

That's up to you! Inspect it first, but as I stated before it's just a couple of buck your call.

On the inner cooler thing I sent mine to my local radiator shop and had it cleaned and pressure tested. They charged me 50 bucks. I did this cuz I didn't want to have to tare it back down later and the done one heck of a job cleaning it. I believe they said the boiled it.
