Correct - they usually list as "black", but are a kind of brushed silver. They have a transparent tape over them (for shipping protection), and you peel it off. They are the least expensive, and best looking, scuff plates Ive seen. They hold up really well, too. Why on earth Ford put these on a Focus SVT and not our Lightnings in the first place boggles my mind. But for $17 a pop, they are well worth it.
Since there is this thread on these scuff plates, I have a question:
I consider the "placement" of these to be "scuff" plates. Id like to find a set of "sills" (the plastic 'above' the scuff plates), but all I can find are "F150 sills". Anyone know of a vendor that sells the doorsill plates with a Lightning logo?
Ive noticed since installing these SVT scuff plates, they are much easier to keep clean than the black factory plastic ones. The dirtiest part of my interior is always the factory light grey plastic sills, and would like to swap them for something nicer (that I bet will be easier to keep clean).
