"lambo" Vertical Doors

I was at a light and another L rolls up and a chick was driving. She looks, smiles, and then flips her door open. I lower my window and I said "Hot, real hot" and she shuts the door, does the blowing a kiss thing at me and floors it.

I'm not too drawn by the Looks instead of Performace thing BUT It looked pretty sweet. I used to work at a Body shop in seminole where we installed Decah Doors and I didn't like it cause it could open up just enough for you to "slide out" nearly catching your nose in it everytime. BUT, this kit she had allowed the door to open almost all the way "out-of-the-way"and it looked awsome. I didn't have a chance to catch up cause I was on my way to work and I had to turn.

Does anyone here know of a kit like her's or actually HAVE a kit?

the link below shows the kit's I'm familiar with and do not like and you can see why..... http://www.verticaldoors.com/v2/gallery_ford_f150.asp

I'm interested as long as it doesn't exceed 2g's

Why would someone open their door at a light??

I don't like them on trucks... But that's just me.

Thats freaking tight, but I dont see anyone selling kits do convert our doors to do that.

And mayber her window wouldnt go down so she opened her door, or maybe she just wanted to show off.

Borricua,
Where did you see the L', in Pinellas somewhere?
I've meet most of the guys on the board locally at our Tampa Bay meets but have never seen one in our area w/ "Lambo" style doors.
I've never seen a girl driving an L' around town either. Just curious...Was it a white F150 on chrome wheels? There is a "poser" in the Tampa area. It's a Heritage edition w/ an air ride suspension and Lightning logos on the sides and on the tailgate... definately not an L'. I don't know what else he had done to the truck, might have been it...not sure though. He pulled along side of me one night reving his engine w/ the truck tilted to one side.
I left him in the rear view mirror and bagged a Camaro SS at the same time so I know it was not an L.... he caught up at the next light gave a thumbs up and went on his way....tilted the other way.... LMAO

Anyways....as far as I know Leeann is the only "cool chick" w/ a Lightning, too bad she's up north.

The kits allow you to open your doors the normal way(easy everyday use), and the lambo way(show's etc.).. and you dont loose any features such as power windows, power locks, etc.

Go pick up last months issue of Street Trucks Magazine, they did a detailed install on an F150.

got mine in front of me, and on pg. 57 at end of articale it states they only open about 18in. before stopping, then with little effort swing up.
I'm not sure how far other kits open, but 18 in. does'nt sound very far, maybe halfway at best.

I ran into her on 1st avenue South and 1st street in Downtown. I have a PT valet job there. It was black like mine and It had 03 rims. It was lowered and sounded freaking nice at the stomp. She was blond with a beautiful face. I guess she wanted to show off the doors and knew a fellow L owner would appreciate her truck.

I actually saw the white L-clone on saturday in front of my job. I thought it was an L at a glance but it didn't have the side exhaust.

I actually contacted www.verticaldoors.com just couple weeks ago. They are just an hour from where I live... They quoted me $1995 for the kit (which they said was a special and regular price is $2195). They can install it for an additional $500 and it would take them a whole day. They hinges have life time limited warranty, BUT telescopic shocks have only 6 months warranty... I might have thought about it a bit more if the warranty was better on the shocks... looks really kool to me and motorized version would be KILLER with a remote, but they don't offer it... VERY expensive too!!!
