Question Dyno recommendations in Richmond, VA

My office is closed this week for the holidays. I was hoping to get my L dynoed sometime this week. Can anyone recommend a good dyno in or near Richmond, VA?

A while back I think SuperFords had recommeded Performance Autosport, Inc. Are they still a good option?

Thanks,
Eric

Yea, they are doing a Christmas deal of 60 bucks for 3 pulls. After Friday it goes back to $75 for 3 pulls. Also I was informed they are good for dynoing just to get some numbers but are a big no no as far as tuning.

Thanks,
I just want to get some numbers and A/F ratio. When I get a chip I'll get it from one of the main vendors.

Mark is the owner of performanceautosport, he lives 4 houses down from me on my street. we used to be good buddies, he's the one who got me into SEMA a while back. he's a good guy.

they just don't have any Lightning tuning experience.

I believe they are currently using Diablo software. by now they may have, or at least I know they have ordered the SCT stuff, so they might be able to do a generic SCT tune for you, and from what I understand, alot of those are pretty good right "out of the box" so to speak.

as for dyno time, they would be the most convenient location in Richmond area that I know of. there are a couple of other dynos in town, but they don't advertise that I know of, and they lean more towards the circle track guys. I think there is a dynojet in the Hanover air park in Ashland, and there is a Mustang dyno at AED down near Chester on Willis road if I remember correctly.

Performance will also let you "drive" your own truck on the dyno.

if you go to mark and kevin, tell them I said hello.

just don't beat my dyno numbers...

I think that I'm am still the "top dog" on their dyno board on display at least in the truck class. they are old numbers from the Engine of Doom, but they are still pretty respectable.

later,
chris

Thanks Chris
I'm going to make an appointment for tomorrow.
Right now I'm just waiting for it to warm up some. It's been freaking cold for days now!

I just made the appt with Kevin for 1pm tomorrow.

Chris, I don't have a snowball's chance in hell to even come close to your numbers!
I'd be listed on the board as "also ran".

WTF is wrong with VA.

I visit Norfolk from the DC metro area where I work to avoid the chances of snow.

Then it proceeds to snow for almost 10 hours on Sunday.

haha, I know, it was weird, no snow here in Richmond (central VA) but I heard they got snow south of us and in North Carolina as well!

we had a customer pass through here the other day when it was like 14degrees one morning last week who joked that he was "going back home where it is warm".

home for him was Detroit!

later,
chris

Hey Gator,
I'll just be happy if it makes it to the 50s!
At least we didn't get 18" of snow like Newport News did.

You should contact Ed...He travels lots of places to do Lightning tuning. He has access to several Dynos here in the tidewater area...about an hour from Richmond.

How can I get a hold of this Ed guy? I'm working down in Norfolk, and would like to get on a dyno for some before/after numbers and A/F readings?
