Anyone from Northern NJ? Need help with Line Valve Mod Install

Anyone from Northern NJ? Need help with Line Valve Mod Install

no local shop wants to do this install. i found one place, but they wanna charge me like $200. im kind of nervous dropping the valve body, as i have never done that before. i live in bergen county, new jersey. anyone somewhat around me know a place where i can go? or better yet, wanna do it for me in the holiday spirit? ill pay for your trouble! let me know. thanks guys.

I never did anything like it myself when I did mine but I read the directions thoroughly several times and went to town. It was pretty easy. If you have the proper tools, I would give it a try.

We do the line mod, trans pan and filter, fluids and install for under $250 after tax.

Bring it by here we will do it for an hrs labor $89 and if you dont have the fluid its 7 qts at almost $3 a qt so you figure just around $115.

Dropping the valve body is not much harder than dropping the pan. You can buy the valve online, directly from Sonnax and replace 6.5qts of Mercon from Ford for under $50 TOTAL !! Once the valve body is out, it takes about 1 minute to remove the clip and exchange the valve. The valve instructions are online at Sonnax and come with the valve as well. The pan and valve body removal instructions are well documented here.

yeah i got it installed and had an entire transmission service for $160
