wiring

I am putting an electronic brake control on the True Blue, is there any prewiring done already for it, or do I have to run the wires to the rear plug..................

It' in your manual. There should have been a little plastic bag that came with your truck. In is a couple of relays for under the hood and a pig tail that one end plugs in under the dash, about where the hole is around your right knee. The other end of the pig tail is wired into whatever brake control you get.

I would suggest getting a Teknika (sp) prodigy I think. They can supply the premade pigtail that snaps in under the dash and into the brake controller. Ebay is usually the best place to get the controllers. BTW I have the one mentioned and it works very well, unlike the old pendulum one I had. Good luck.

Oh yeah the rear plug is all wired BTW.

I second the Prodigy. It is reasonably priced and has very good reviews. I bought the $6 wire harness and it was mounted in the truck in less than Five minutes... most of that was figuring out where to mount it. Plugged right in and works beautifully. It is very easy to set, adjust and even has a brake booster that you can adjust the power level on. I could make the fully Loaded trailer (Lightning inside) stop my Expedition without a problem.

Yeah those shop foreman know everything. You should have showed him the plug for it and I wonder what he would have said. Seriously it's like 5min to plug in and mount if you have the premade pigtail or 10min if you don't . Since I hardly ever tow I just mount it right under the hole with a couple of screws sort of behind/under the dash and leave it out when I don't need it. :santa:

Yea true... I don't intend to do too much towing so I will just unplug it from the harness and put in the box in the back of the seat when not in use....
